Rich Lane was a four-year scholarship track athlete at the University of Southern Colorado (now CSU-Pueblo) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science-Physics Engineering degree. After college he married Mary Postestio and they have been married for 36 years. He worked for Rockwell International at Rocky Flats, Sperry/Unisys/Loral in Pueblo, Quantum in CO Springs, DD Marketing, and as manager at Champions Family Medical Clinic. He is also a small business owner. Rich played and coached for the Pueblo Crusaders semi-pro football team. He was a founding member of “Friends of Football” which in 2007 donated $8 million in cash and in-kind donations to CSU Pueblo to resurrect football, wrestling, and women’s track and field at the university and to support scholarships. Rich has made outstanding achievements and contributions as varsity football offensive coordinator at East for 16 years. In 2015, he received the National Football Foundation’s Jim Turner Award for 27 years of service to Colorado youth football and he was elected to the Greater Pueblo Sports Association Hall of Fame in 2017.
