Dr. Robin Brooks

Dr. Robin Brooks has an extraordinary career that includes unwavering dedication to public service.  She exemplifies the highest standards of leadership, character and accomplishment.  As a distinguished diplomat and foreign policy expert with over two decades of service to our country, she has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to advancing U.S. interests on a global stage.  Her tenure as Special Advisor to Vice President Kamala Harris for Europe, Eurasia, and Democracy, along with her leadership roles at the National Security Council and the U.S. State Department, reflect her tireless pursuit of diplomacy, human rights and democratic values. 

Beyond her professional achievements, Robin embodies the qualities of a true leader.  She is a dedicated mentor and advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, inspiring the next generation of leaders in national security and foreign affairs.  Her nomination as the State Department’s EEO Counselor of the Year underscores her integrity, compassion, and commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all.  She has also served as adjunct faculty at Columbia University where she has shared her expertise through courses on democracy, human rights, and global affairs, equipping students with the tools to make a difference in their communities and beyond.

Robin’s academic accomplishments further highlight her intellectual rigor and passion for education.  In 1992 Robin graduated from East High School as Valedictorian.  In 1995 she graduated from Smith College with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government, cum laude.  She has a PH.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkely.  Dr. Robin Brooks is also a mom.  Finally, Robin is a source of inspiration and a testament to the impact one individual can have on the world.
