Daniel L. Hernandez

Daniel Hernandez, 1985 East graduate, served as president of Los Mestizos and MESA. He was a member of National Honor Society and VICA. After high school, Hernandez attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, receiving degrees in electrical and computer engineering in 1990. While at CU, he founded the student chapter of the Mexican American Engineers and Scientists (MAES).

Hernandez began his career with US West Communications as an engineer in 1990. His careeer included a variety of positions in engineering, project management, information technologies, business development, technology selection, and operations. He has served as Vice President and General Manager of Business Operations at Ameritech Interactive Media Services, a company that serves millions of customers across the US and four countries.

Hernandez has presented at the National Association of Minority Engineering Program Administrators, the La Raza Male Youth Conference, the MESA Awards Banquet and Advisor Retreat, the MAES National Leadership Conference, and was the featured speaker at the commencement address to the University of Colorado engineering graduates in 1995.
