Inducted in

Bob Caligaris

Brothers Bob Caligaris, Class of 1972 and Fred Caligaris, Class of 1973 grew up in Belmont and attended Belmont Elementary and then Heaton Junior High School. At East, they enjoyed Drafting class and anything technical.  The Caligaris brothers spent many hours after class, on weekends and during summers working on cars in the family garage.

Following graduation from East, Bob completed a business degree from USC (now CSU-P).  Fred attended USC for 2 years and then left for the world of work where he joined his father, Domenic, and his brothers as they started Domenic & Sons Paint & Body in 1975 where they have worked ever since.

Bob and Fred enter the Hall of Fame in recognition of their Service to the School.  Together with their younger brother, John, a previous Service to School Hall of Fame inductee, Bob and Fred have donated countless hours recognizing East athletic team excellence and providing support to the Alumni Foundation.  Their service to East and involvement with the East Alumni Foundation began when the Foundation was established in 2003.  They were involved with the purchase and repainting of mobile sign trailers which were used to recognize student achievement. They also prepped and trim painted Class tiles that are displayed in the Heritage Hall.  They fabricate and paint the state championship picture frames that hang in the Mel Spence Gym.  With great pride, they sand down and repaint the Cannon each time it returns to East following a victory over South in the Cannon football game.
