Since his 1979 graduation from East High School, Richard J. Macias has dedicated his life to the young people of Pueblo.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Colorado State University, Pueblo, in 1984, a Masters of Arts Degree from Adams State College in 1994, a Principal Licensure from the University of Phoenix, Colorado Springs in 2000 and his professional teacher’s license from the State of Colorado.
He is being inducted for his Service to East High School. He has contributed to East High in many ways, but particularly his efforts on behalf of school athletics. He has consistently assisted with the East High Alumni Association with their contributions to school athletic events. He has facilitated and ensured that East High School is represented in the best way for the community. East High School’s image is projected in a much more efficient and professional way due to Mr. Macias.
