Dr. Michael A. DeRose is a 1975 East High School Graduate.   He attended the University of Southern Colorado.  Upon graduation he was accepted to the Creighton Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1982.  The school’s dean described him as “a product of Pueblo who has excelled at the highest level . . .”

Mike took his service to children outside the Dental clinic and onto the sports field.  He has coached football and baseball, including football teams at Heaton Middle School and East High School.    During the past 30 years he has generously contributed to countless youth events.    For the last three years he has sponsored the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Football Chapel before each East varsity game.  He has also served on numerous boards of directors for community organizations and churches.   Always an Eagle, he generously contributed to the Alumni Foundation Heritage Hall and has contributed to the EHS Foundation.
