John Giardino, 1964 graduate of East, is currently professor of Geology, Geophysics, Water Management and Hydrology at Texas A&M University. His interests in Earth history influences his concern and attention to global warming and change.

Dr. Giardino has received many honors and awards, and has many publications to his credit. His affiliations include the Editorial Board, Geomorphology; the Editorial Board, the Open Geology journal; and, member of the National Science Teachers Association.
