Dr. Harvey McClung was inducted into the East High Hall of Fame as a Service to School recipient. Dr. McClung was instrumental in bringing the International Baccalaureate program to East, and was a member of the parent task force that oversaw that implementation.

Dr. McClung was also a major force and benefactor in raising funds for the initial computer lab in the Media Center. Dr. McClung provided sufficient funds to purchase needed textbooks and, because of intense heat, he purchased fans for every classroom.
