Mattye Pollard-Cole, 1969 graduate, received her BA in Mathematics in 1973 and her Master's in 1978 from the University of Colorado.

Ms. Pollard-Cole was a teacher mentor for the Colorado Mathematics Middle School Teacher Enhancement Project (COMMSTEP), a local systemic change initiative funded by the National Science Foundation. She received the award for outstanding contributions to Colorado mathematices education, which was awarded by the Colorado Council of Teachers of Mathematics in 1999.
