Jeffrey Louis Halaas, 1986 East graduate, earned his B.S. from Stanford University, his Ph.D. from Rockefeller University, and his M.D. from Cornell University Medical Center.

Dr. Halaas has authored many publications pertaining to obesity and has been honored by Time Magazine and the Associated Medical School of New York.
