Catherine Maloney, affectionately known as "Cathy," served East High School for 28 years as English/Social Studies Department aide, Activities Secretary, and Principal's Secretary. Cathy went above and beyond her normal work hours by voluntarily serving on several committees to improve East High. She served on the East Site Council for six years, where she willingly gave her time and talents to East.

Since her retirement, Cathy has served diligently and continues to generously support East High. She played a central role in the establishment of the East Hall of Fame in 1997 and worked with the East Alumni Association, helping to form the bylaws, and the Vision and Mission Statements of the Association. She continues to serve the Alumni Association as its Secretary and coordinator of annual Hall of Fame activities.
